Rebecca has practised as a psychotherapist for over 16 years, after training in the U.K. and Singapore. She has worked across cultures in Singapore and the Middle East, and in Primary Care for the NHS, and holds a MSc from the University of Bristol.
Rebecca works with adults only, and sees clients presenting with depression, anxiety, grief & loss, self-harm, transitional issues, OCD, infidelity, divorce, anger management, adverse childhood experiences, relationship breakdown or conflict, LGBT issues, and PTSD or CPTSD (Complex Post Traumatic Stress). She also works with clients who are adjusting to and living with chronic illness, post-natal depression and issues and complications with pregnancy.
Rebecca also sees clients with addiction issues relating to bingeing, overeating/purging, porn, alcohol, sex, and shopping.
Rebecca's theoretical foundations lie in psychodynamic and attachment theories, but she is also trained in EMDR therapy, Rogerian theory, Gottman and positive psychology approaches. Assessment is made with each client to gain a thorough understanding of what their needs and goals are for therapy.
Rebecca is a Member of the Singapore Psychological Society as well as the British Association of Counsellors & Psychotherapists.
